Accepting Jesus

Accepting Jesus into your life is the most important thing you will ever do. It is seemingly simple on the surface, and yet it is an act that will change your heart, your life, and your eternal destiny. You have no idea what it means right now, but you will. God will reveal things to you that you could not even see before.
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
If you want to invite Jesus into your life, say the following prayer or one like it:
God, I know you sent your one and only Son here to die for my sins so I would not perish but have eternal life. I confess that I was born to sin, and have committed many sins against you for which I need your forgiveness and mercy. I ask that you bring Jesus into my life. Let him take my heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. Father, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior in the hopes that I may become more like him. I believe and know in my heart that you raised Jesus up from the dead, and I ask that you do the same for me. I know I do not deserve your forgiveness and mercy but I have faith in it. I have faith in your Word. And, I have faith in my salvation through Jesus Christ. It is in His name I pray to you. Amen.
If you just said that prayer or one like it and meant it, you have just crossed the line of faith. Welcome to His family. Before you leave, please leave your first name as a comment to this page.
Your next step is to find a church near you that teaches basic biblical concepts. Remember, Jesus’ message is one of love, tolerance, and forgiveness. If the church you go to is not preaching love, tolerance, and forgiveness, you need to find another church. Hate speech does not part of Christ’s message.
